Duffey Yeatman Submitted by Lila Noyola Denver, Colorado-based Three Tomatoes Catering is a woman-owned business that has consistently provided exceptional service and delicious, memorable cuisine for over three decades and who knows that a successful event is measured by a clients unique needs and goals. ‘When an event is well-planned with food made fresh from scratch and no detail is left unattended, success, no matter how you measure it, is inevitable,’ states Duffey Yeatman, a thirteen year employee of Three Tomatoes and it’s Director of Operations. LGC Associates is profiling Mr. Yeatman in this edition in recognizing him as a Catering Professional and asks a few questions about his career. How long have you been in the food service industry?24 years How long have you worked for Three Tomatoes? 13 years What is your position at Three Tomatoes? Director of Operations What was your first experience in the Food Service industry? I worked for four years at Lukhards Finer Food as a grocery bagger. What advice would you offer to someone who is new to catering? You are defined in this business by quality of your food, service and your ability to adapt to change. How do you keep your business fresh for yourself, co-workers and clients? Because we are a custom caterer; we are consistently creating new menus not only based on trending, but we work with artists who are dedicated to their craft as well. We have people who are challenging themselves to create new and exciting products every day. What significant changes do you see in the industry in the future? Clients look for new ways to maintain and reduce costs. Caterers will need to find innovative and competitive ways to keep their food and presentation fresh and affordable. What can't you live without in your professional life? I need to work with people who have a passion for what they do. Fortunately, Three Tomatoes Catering is driven by passionate people. |
